Asphalt, also called bituminous conglomerate, is a fundamental material of road construction field. It is mainly composed of aggregates and binder with an infinite variety of mixtures. The binder of the asphalt is called bitumen.
Due to the very intensive traffic conditions, asphalt is constantly under stress. Road pavements can face different kind of stress: compression, flexural as well as tangential stress. For this reason, asphalts have to grant excellent performances.
Matest wide range of products in this section allows conducting a lot of tests on bitumen and asphalt.
